Trying to decifer the reference for the marriage of Louis Arthur Rhodes in Qtr 1 1983. Want to order the cert but can't tell what the page number is, any ideas?

I must be blind, because I can't see it at all!! You could look up the spouse instead and see if you can read her page number any better! Merry

sorry, its 1893, not 1983!

Right, found it now (when you come to order it, I think they actually have his first name as Lewis, not Louis) ........hmm.....I would normally have looked on 1837online, because their images are usually clearer. However, I don't have any units left on there at the mo :o(( Do you know his spouse first name from the 1901 census? Merry

If page 188 is correct, then he married either Betsy Rosenburg or Martha Elizabeth Firth. Merry

I agree with Laura...from what I can read it's:- Marriage:- LEWIS ARTHUR RHODES - March quarter 1893 District - Bradford, Y. Vol:- 9b Page:- 188

I don't know how you guys manage it everytime! His wife was Martha E so I guess its 188 on the end. How do you do it!

I took a look at the 1901 and she was born 1871-ish in Bradford.....so.......this fits nicely! Name: Martha Elizabeth Firth Year of Registration: 1871 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar District: Bradford County: West Riding Of Yorkshire Volume: 9b Page: 77 Mery
