How do I go about tracing a marriage that I believe took place in Malta in approx 1916?

It might be on www.familysearch.org If the family were British, it might be on the GRO overseas index. nell

Do they do British overseas marriages? Anyway you can order the cert online from the Maltese Civil Registry and if you give them the details they will search a 2 year span either side but you have to supply approx details. I managed to get a Maltese Birth cert with a very small amount of info and the information they give is amazing including the fathers of the witnesses and both parents of the bride and groom.
