Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 193 Send Message	If someone in the Army died while serving in WW1 would a death certificate be issued. I have found a Frederick Plumpton reported as dying 2.1.1916 on the CCWG site, and this could be the Frederick I am looking for. Thanks - Pat.

	I think you will probably find the death on the army deaths on 1837online, which is pay per view. Kath. x

	One or two folks have said they ordered certs for KiA soldiers, and ended up no wiser than before - it really didn't tell them anything they hadn't already found out. Having, said that, you can't be sure that'll be true for you - until you get the cert! Christine

	Patricia There was a thread on here a few days ago that you can go and look up info. My Uncle did in WW1 and was buried in France,the site tells you the parents of the deceased and where they lived. And you can print out the cert. I'll try searching for the thread and will nudge if I find it. I nudged it for you, just in case you miss it,here it is: It's the commonwealth war graves site (CWG)
