my maternal nan had a sister that i knew nothing about till i found the family on the 1901.Little one died in 1904 aged 3 from bronchitus & her death cert says daughter of ,and her dads name, Shirley |

My granddad was one of nine boys. I am almost sure that I have discovered a little girl born to his parents who only lived a few weeks or so. Their only daughter too. No one alive today knew she had even existed So a Death cert should sort it. Thank you for your help. TGx |

Hi just looked at my granddads three siblings death certs and it says son or daughter of ***then mother ***present at the death. jenny |

I have some, and they give the father's name and occupation, but the bonus is that they were registered by the mother, and it has 'mother' in the informant box. nell |

The ones I have say son/dau of 'fathers name' in the occupation box. |
