bell's bo'ness

Thanks Geogina, I have that info if you look at later census there is another James born abt 1852 which matches my relatives. He has no birth cert and the 1846 has no death cert...But what i really need if the birth or death cert or parish record of Daniel's father James Bell who married Elizabeth Snaddon in 1819

Kim BMD records in scotland did not become official until 1855 so before this date you have to rely on parish records but there are no official certificates. According to the IGI these are the children born to Danile Bell & Agnes Grant.... 1. This is Daniel's birth from IGI, also states he married Agnes in 1840. Daniel Bell Male Family Event(s): Birth: About 1815 Of, Bo'Ness, West Lothian, Scotland Christening: Death: Burial: Marriages: Spouse: Agnes Grant Family Marriage: NOV 1840

Hi i have a problem with my Bell family from Bo'ness Scotland if anyone could give any advise would appreciate it.Here goes. Daneil Bell married Agnes Grant in 1840 there is a James Bell son born 1846 have certificate there is also another James Bell born 1852 with the same parents. I have the second James death cert. I cannot find a death cert for the James 1846 nor can I find a birth cert for 2 James 1852. Is it possible that its the same James (there is only 1) just dont know the second one fits my family. also the father Daniel I only have his death cert again no birth???? on his death cert it states his parents are James Bell and Elizabeth Snaddon they married 1819, I have here information but again cannot find a birth cert for James and he must have died between 1841 census and when she died in 1857 and she is listed as a widow. Scotlands People dont have deaths before 1855 so i cannot get back any further. Any help someone can give me would be appreciated and if you need info from Australia just ask. Kim
