Um, if John was 34 when he married in 1877, then he would have been born around 1843 not 1853?

Whether you actively search or put him on one side is up to you. But I'd recommend getting the marriage cert, which should have his father's name and occupation as well as his occupation on it. This would make it easier to find him on earlier censuses. Have you got him and Agnes [I remember the Quayle name from a while back] on later censuses? If so what is his year of birth/birthplace/occupation?

I am looking for information on JOHN REYNOLDS c1853 who married Agnes Quayle on 6 Dec 1877 at Malew Isle of Man. I don!t know if he was born in Malew or any where in England? I have came across plenty of that name in 1861 England census, but can!t pin him down to any of them, the same with the island one, how can I solve my problem, as I have no further information on him, can anyone help me, or do I just put him to the side in the hope something may turn up later.
