Gardener is probably working for a landowner, or as a jobbing gardener on a casual basis. market gardener is running a commercial growing operation on a leased or owned plot of land. I have family moving from the first to the second as a career progression. |

I have a marriage certificate which has one father as a gardener, and the other as a market gardener. Could anybody please tell me what the difference is between the two.? I am guessing that the market gardner maybe had a small holding or something? Sorry if this is a daft question. It has been bugging me all day. |
