I just wanted to warn newcomers that when trying to obtain certs direct from Registry Office they take care. I googled the Barnet office, and in a couple of instances when clicking the link for certificates I was directed to the BMD-certificates site, not the Barnet Registry Office, but the site does not make it clear who you are dealing with and if you are not aware it is so easy to fill in their form and end up paying 25 pounds for a cert. |

I nearly fell foul of this site as well, and I have been doing this long enough to know better! Jess, the site is www*bmd-certificates*co*uk and is one of a number that has jumped on the research bandwagon. I am sure it will catch less experienced members out, and it seems to cover all register offices in the UK. Helen |
