You could try googling 'name of the parish +records online' and see if something comes up. Kath. x

Lancashire on-line parish clerk: www(.)lan-opc(.)org.uk click on Parishes in Lancashire,the towns with 2 red roses have parish records I think Genuki gives some links and if you go on UK bmd,select the county you want and scroll down ,there are some links there too

It is not free but familyhistory-online only charge about 10p each for a record. Rootschat which is free to join has lists of local resources organised by county. The moderator of the Somerset board which is the one I am interested in is compiling a list of on-line parish records. Genuki also has lists of local records. It is also worth googling the parish as many have their own websites.

Depending which county you are researching, the British Isle Vital Records Index can be useful. Plenty of people on the these boards will do lookups for you.

Medway put all theirs online (the originals I mean!) - have spent hours browsing! www*cityark*medway*gov*uk remove * and replace with full stop. Jan
