A relative of mine was married twice, his second wife being the first cousin of his first wife. How do I show this in my tree? Whichever order I put the various people in one of them will, as I understand it, have to appear twice - so is there a way of indicating in my tree that a particular individual is connected to the family in two ways, without putting them in twice? |

The short answer is you can't on here. If you have a more complicated family tree programme you can upload a gedcom from it. I think we all have problems like this I have brother and sister marrying brother and sister and great grandparents who were cousins. I just put this person appears twice in the tree in the extra details which must annoy the people who get them as hot matches. |
