Janice, Try Family Tree Maker - for me, it's been the most flexible package. You can twiddle with box size and typeface size to make the various trees fit your preferred size (or number of) sheets of paper. Go for the basic, no frills version - I've found that 'deluxe' versions have a load of info CDs in that are useless. Yes, I've been caught out more than once! In the UK, it's about 30 quid. Like Christine I too am pre-PC, so I have the classic roll-of-wallpaper. Because I am completely unable to write in a straight line, I write the details on stickly labels first. Over the years I have cut and pasted,( literally) and occasionally I have to redo the whole thing. But it works for me. OC

I print my tree off here. I have only about 98 on it, so I find it ok. I suppose if you are trying to print off hundreds, it might not be sufficient. Ann

Hi, You can print your tree from this website I have found by fluke only If you go to the tree builder and pick the little tab at the top which says tree viewer it will come up with a print pages. This is all I have done to show older rellys that would like to look at the tree in paper. Hope this helps Melisa

I have used a few, and found Legacy the easiest. You can download it free and use most of the functions. If you want to buy it online I think it cost me about $50 Aus. The pages are large and you can see the family as you work. I have PAF and FTM and find Legacy easier, but that just might be me.

What I need is an ever-so-simple software package (not too expensive) to print out a family tree. Nothing elaborate and dead easy to add info to. Any suggestions?
