Thanks all. I'm not even game to give his name particularly when Heather and Merry might be looking. They have tried to help before. Yes he was adult. I have his marriage, children's births and his burial all from parish records. Just nothing gives any idea of his birth place or parents. Heather your 'Orstens' were dead easy compared to this. |

People were not always buried in the parish in which they lived, if that was the case, it often shows the parish of residence, that gives another clue to investigate. Jennifer |

Would the burial records(parish records) pre 1837 have where the person was born? Swore I'd leave this one alone, but I just can't. |
