If you mean All Hallows I can see that in the distance from my house. Strangley enough we moved herebefore I did all this family tree stuff and I have since found out that my Great Great Grandparents married there and another lot of my ancestors made the bell frame. Werid world! |

Thats exactly why I chose my name! Philippa is my in trouble name and my surname is so uncommon anyone could track me down really easily. I live near the place that belonged to the family that Byron's childhood sweetheart married into! It's really funny that my MIL regards Clara as Grandma Mason even though that was Florence who lived down the road. No-one liked Florence who I now feel quite sorry for. |

You are asking if the Clara Osborn you found in 1901 is the same Clara who died in 1973. Well, firstly, census ages are often out by a year or more. Age at death and birthyears on death certs can also be out. What you need to establish is whether the Clara Osborn who died in 1973 died without marrying, or whether she was married and therefore Osborn not her maiden name. You can only do that by getting her death cert. nell |

My hubby's Great Uncle who died last month at the age of 80 was illegitimate however both his parents registered his birth and they never married as his wife Florence was still alive. I have gone through all the death indexes and the only death that corresponds is in 1973 in Nottingham giving a birth date of July 1894 for Clara Osborne. The only one I can find in Nottingham census for 1901 is:Clara Osborn abt 1895 Bradford, Yorkshire, England Daughter Nottingham Nottinghamshire View Record Ellen Osborn abt 1863 Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Wife Nottingham Nottinghamshire View Record George K Osborn abt 1896 Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Son Nottingham Nottinghamshire View Record John Osborn abt 1884 Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Son Nottingham Nottinghamshire View Record Tom Osborn abt 1890 Bradford, Yorkshire, England Son Nottingham Nottinghamshire View Record William Osborn abt 1856 Bradford, Yorkshire, England Head Nottingham Nottinghamshire View Record William Osborn abt 1888 Bradford, Yorkshire, England Son Nottingham Nottinghamshire Do you think this is reasonable? |
