Fullarton & Co., London, 1865. Full-Leather. Book Condition: Very Good. Folio - over 12' - 15' tall. Tooled leather covers and banded spine with gilt tooling. The title 'Brown's Bible' in gilt on black foreground to spine. Covers have the odd scratch but still a very attractive piece of binding. End pages are marbled. Originally belonged to a Fenton family, probably Dundee. Some of the plates have foxing, a faint water stain lower right to first two pages and one of the fold out maps has a small tear. Book is extensively illustrated with 1368 pages plus 76 pages psalms. Bookseller Inventory # 4235 |
