Could anybody offer any pointers as to the origins of the name WAISNIS? I have now found the address of my relative but he is not living at home with his family. He is a mariner at a boarding address. Just two doors away is a mariners clerk who is a nationalised prussian subject. Does anybody think this could be the origins of the name? Please let me know what you think. Lyn xxx

I just googled this name and it brings up 128 hits, including the first one, which is a Waisnis Family Tree site. OC

Checked that out, I have seen most of those before and I can't access the Waisnis family tree because I'm not subscribed to it :( I will keep searching though! Lyn x

You have an interesting name yourself. I must see if I can find •°¤(¯`°´¯)§©õú$€® L¥ñ(¯`°´¯)¤°• on a census.

Sorry, didnt actually look at any of the hits, so didnt realise it was Ancestry for the tree - maybe worth a monthly subscription if you dont want to pay for a year? OC
