When you click on 'export tree' and it goes to one's own computer do you lose it completely from the Genes site? and can you then send it to someone and how? as an attachment to an E mail? or ? And once it is on one's computer can you then save it to a CD? Thanks! Marie |

You are simply making a copy, in gedcom format. So yes, you can save it where you like, and forward it as an attachment.... provided you remember where you put it! |

GenesReunited sends you a copy as a Gedcom file in an email attachment. |

Just remember your friend has to have a gedcom program to be able to open it the other end. |
