I have a couple of rellies shown as paupers on the censuses although they weren't in the workhouse. Is the local records office likely to have any more information about them? What should I be looking for? I'm not expecting to find settlement orders, because I believe they always lived in the same town. |

There might be some Poor Relief records showing how much money they were being given each week. You would need to ask at the local RO as to what has survived etc. Merry |
