The Manchester & Lancashire FHS have just published a new CD, the Directory of Irish-born People in Manchester in 1861. This includes extracts from the 1861 census and all the names published on CDROM Issue 1 plus nearly 20,000 new references. Full census details are given only for Irish-born people. Other household members are not included. For further information, see http://www(.)mlfhs.org(.)uk (note: details of this CD may not appear on the web site until 1 July or thereabouts).
