A kind member found this on the 1851, Sarah Weston b1843 Wellington Shropshire, living Wombridge, Shrop. Has anyone seen this before? Selena |

If you look at the image, Sarah is at the top of a page and is described as daughter. The enumerator has helpfully written above this 'to the last head', meaning I think that her father is on the previous page, otherwise if you didn't look at the previous image, you would wonder whose daughter she was. She is also described as twin (with Ann Weston who is also aged 8) Kath. x |

Hi again Selena Have just checked the image for this family and it is on two pages - the first page containing most of the family and the next page just 'the daur to the head' you mention; Maybe this is a way of pointing out that she belongs to the head on the previous page and not the one for the family entered after. Don't know if anyone has any other ideas? CArole |

On the previous page to the Weston family, he has written a similar thing at the top of the page, mentioning the family on the previous page. He has also described a couple of children as 'illegitimate grandson', which although perhaps not very nice, at least there is no confusion that they may be sons of a quite old mother. Why weren't they all like that??? Kath. x |

Think we should start a thread for the most helpful enumerator - look back a couple of pages *- he's entering things like 'wife of former glass-blower' and even 'illegitimate'. Can't believe this - hope he got his Xmas bonus! |
