After tracking down various Higho people - and finding a connection on GR too! - I decided to abandon husband's tree for time being to look at mine. On 1901 census there;s a chap described as 'nephew' living Emma Garvie my gt gt grandmother and her 2nd husband John but I got the original transcription from the govt site and thought his name was Th. J. French for Thomas. Rechecked on Ancestry and it was H. J. French. Found his birth - Herbert John, and then found him on census aged 8 months with parents - it seems his mum was my gt grandmother's sister Elizabeth. Found their marriage, and then tracked them through census. V. interested to find that both John Garvie and Elizabeth's husband John French worked in the railways. Both Eliz. and Emma were born in Cambridge, but lived in the 1870s in Lower Holloway, Islington. Another clue - did Emma meet her 2nd husband through her brother-in-law's work??!! I have had no luck in finding Emma and John's marriage so am hoping this will help me work out when and where they married! nell

I keep thinking of that quite scarey scene in what was it called 'Sean of the Zombies?'

Jim Yes, it took me a while to find them. I've had more mistranscriptions on 1901 with relatives than any other census. Chris Yes, that's the Barnwell/St Andrew the Less lot, none of whom appear to have been baptised. Were they ungodly, or just non-conformist? Heather I think the film is Sean of the Dead, though I haven't seen it and have yet to discover any zombies in my family tree. How useful though, the living dead would be able to give you all sorts of info that you can't find! nell
