I have just received a copy of a Will from 1866 and the monies given were nineteen pounds and nineteen pence. Does anybody know how to convert it to todays money? Thanks

Using the Retail Price Index, £19 1s 7d in 1866 = £1,165.72 in 2005 (the program only converts up to 2005!) Here's the website address: http://eh.net/hmit/ppowerbp/ Merry
