Morning all, I have a 1 Peter Bain (Baihn) and also spelt several different ways .Married Margaret Ryan in 1848 in Wigan district.Peter was born 1821 in Ireland ,he appeared in 1851 census and 1861 then ,he's wife turns up in 1871 as a widow with her children. I have tried BMD site and immigrants ships to Australia to no avail. Any suggestions to help ,i would appreciate very much. thank you Lizz |

Jess No they didn't stay in wigan.they moved to birkenhead,at some point after 1851 census as they were in liverpool then.There daughter Elizabeth was born 1861 birkenhead. regards Lizz |

Mollie This hopefully is him.I will now send off for the certificate .Most of this family have died at an early age and of strange things. Don't know why this 1 evaded me,but i think the saying is CAN'T SEE THE WOOD FOR THE TREES. It is very feasible as the family did lived in Birkenhead from 1854 onwards at least. regards Lizz |
