UK Catholic records not filmed by LDS

Is there any method for a Canadian, of reviewing Lancashire Catholic parish records that were not microfilmed by the LDS (short of crossing the pond)? |

Try contacting th Catholic Diocese for Lancs, which is probably Liverpool. Most of the Catholic Diocese have an Archivist |

Rene The Catholic Church refused to give the LDS permission to film any of their records, so the sources for these are only those given above. OC |

Not quite true. Some RC records have been filmed such as 1729-1909 Catholic Church. Westminster Cathedral (Westminster) |

Also, St Mary's RC at Cresswell in Staffs have been filmed too. Very few have been filmed though. The one above is the only one I have found that I needed. One RC church in York wont let anyone look at the registers either. You can pay for someone else to do it. I did, and her typing was that bad I couldnt read most of it. Looked like she had used a typewriter that had been produced when they were first invented. Margaret |
