Hi Janet, saw your post, did your ancestor have siblings Gladys Laura and Hilda, was her parents Elizabeth Blakemore and John Pugh. The dates coincide with my family tree but need a bit more info. |

Janet Let's work backwards: Is Nan still alive? If not, when did she die. What is her married name? When did she get married, and what is her husband's name? Suzy |

Do you have your grandmother's marriage certificate? Would give her father's name & you could use that as a checking ref if you wanted to risk the birth cert for Elizabeth born in Liverpool. Did she have any older siblings who might appear on the 1901 census? If she did, & you can find her parents maybe they were living in an area you didn't expect so Elizabeth's birth may have been registered there? |

I didn't see any births with E. as a middle initial. Are you certain of her age, as sometimes people can be born several years either side of what you may think. Do you know what either of her parents were called? If you do you could use this name as a checking point when ordering any certificate. Can't think of anything else, unless she had older siblings who would be on the 1901 census - then you might find the parents names. Kath. x |

I've looked at the births in the Sept. and Dec. qtrs of 1901 to 1905 and the only Elizabeth Blakemore registered anywhere is this one:- Elizabeth Blakemore Sept. qtr. 1904, Liverpool, 8b, 3. Are you sure Blakemore was her maiden name? Kath. x |
