Here is Joseph Latham, and his second family on the 1841 census. His 1st marriage took place in 1823 and his 2nd took place in 1830. His death took place in either june 1842 or june 1847. This census is the only thing I have to try and 'guess' a bith date. Could I be right in thinking that the joseph brn in austry warks in 1803 is this one? Moland St, Birmingham Joseph Latham 35 Gunlock Polisher Elizabeth do 30 Pearl button mkr Joseph do 10 Brass foundry Elizabeth do 5 Charlotte do 5 William do 3 All born in county |

It would fit, but you need to find further information to confirm it. Theoretically adult ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 in 1841 though in practice this didn't always happen. You could try getting his age from his death cert - but you aren't sure which is his yet. Have you found a likely baptism on www.familysearch.org? |
