Thank you, Paul. I actually have always found my ancestors (I keep checking, hoping there will be more information). It's good to hear that it isn't true. |

Sorry I disappeared for a while, had to feed the hungry kids. Thanks for the info everyone. I didn't want to waste time looking for things that weren't going to be there. Toni |

The IGI is updated regularly as new records are transcribed. The information on the IGI is not rotated - this is an 'urban myth'. This has been discussed many times before on this forum. |

I have recently found a lot more imformation for Somerset. No idea if it is new or not. I don't think the LDS have any facility to report transcription errors. I recently found Salome for Selina. |

I did find some information a little while ago which I am sure was not there before. Don't know whether it was new information or just brought out of storage though. |

Toni, adding to that thought.....I found census information in Warwickshire a couple of years ago. The site is no longer available -- so if I hadn't copied the information, I would have lost it! |

Thanks for that. I never thought about them rotating info. It highlights the importance of writing down info and sources when you find it. Toni |

Hi Toni. I've read that they are still adding new information, but I don't know if that's true. I've also read that they 'rotate' information, so sometimes you may find information, and other times it won't be there. When my dad used to look at the films, he found burials, so I believe they don't show everything. |

Hello, I was recently reminded about the link below: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers.htm#Menu and have been following up on some of the newer bits of my tree. I'm wondering if the LDS site gets updated ie do they keep adding more info or is what you see what you get. Also is all the information on the film online or can you get more info if you see the films? Thanks Toni |
