Looking for copies of books (Scotland) - where to

Hi. I am looking for copies of two books printed in the 1960s. The first one is ''Rennies of Kilsyth'' by James Rennie and the second is ''Rennie Family History'' by J.O. Gamble. I have found two people who have used these two books and come to two different conclusions about who emigrated to Canada, so I would like to get a copy of these books for myself. James Rennie's book is listed on Amazon, but is not available.

Have you asked at your library, or history centre? Also, sometimes ebay or similar places have these types of things.

Hi Margaret. If you put in Out Of Print Books in the seach box on Tips Board it will bring up a thread with some helpfull addresses & ideas. I'm not sure if yours are out of print but worth looking at. I have also used my local library but that was in England. Not sure if you can get them overseas. Hope this helps. Hilary.

Thanks for answering ladies. I had just thought about the idea of getting them last night to try and figure things out, so haven't really had too much of a search. I will do as you suggest.
