Its a 'new' district Jean. From Genuki: Buckrose registration district Registration County : Yorkshire East Riding. Created : 1.4.1937 (formerly parts of Bridlington, Driffield and Pocklington districts). Sub-districts : Bridlington; Driffield; Norton. GRO volumes : 9d (1937-46); 2A (1946-74).

I haven't got a 'Buckrose 2a' on my Districts, Judith. I'm just looking through at all the 2a's Jean It's probably because mine is for the 1800's and of cause districts and numbers change.

Hi Chris, I put the image up to 200% and then used the magnifying option in the task bar, even doing that I still couldn't make out much, think a phone call to the GRO is your best bet. Good Luck Fuzzy x

Sorry, I tried but for me it's impossible. The only thing I could get was the ages - and both were 77. No help there. Anne update, there is another Francis age 47 - any help? Anne

1837online have it as a free image as its so poor. I think the first Frances (those after her may be Francis or Frances, can't tell) was 44 and registered in Essex SW 4a can't read page number.

Can anyone read the following Death index page for Fanny and Frances Robinson 1965 Q1 I can make out that there are both a Fanny and a Frances on the page but... Ancestry is awful....I have reported it. Family Relatives is just as bad. It's not on FreeBMD images. I have run out of 1837 credits :( I have tried reversing the image but it hasn't helped. The registration district for each entry would be enough, I could then either discount them or try to order it from the GRO over the phone. It is typical as I have searched from 1945 to 1975 and it is most likely the ONE I want :((( Many thanks for any help. Chris
