You must have met my John and Alice Brooks from Hatherop along the way (but on the other hand, maybe not since they had turned into Brookes for 1861). Caroline |

Oh these are not mine, I just found them as I searched every Brooks family that ever was in 1861 for my George and Elizabeth. No luck, can't pin 'em down. |

At least you found them! I wanted to find husband's family in 1861. His gt grandmother was born 1866 and in the 1871 census, she and mum are living together, father is in Parkhurst! But the bit of the census I want is missing! nell |

Enumerators seemed to have a good time with the Brooks family on the 1861 census, so far I have found a Temper Brooks (mother) and a Thomas Brooks (wife) married to George. And a John George Brooks who was someone's daughter! No wonder we tear our hair out! LOL! |
