Hi, After trying many leads, I have a missing relative. I need to know, is there any other way of finding out a mothers surname on a BC before 1911 (when they were listed) other than ordering all the copies that may be relevant?. The Childs name is Frederick Harris and the mother Chapman, obviously there are so many Harris' I could be looking forever! I have all the siblings but they lost contact so many years back it's now an impossible task. Any help muchly appreciated, as my head hurts from banging it on the wall. Thanks to all, Lea (Frederick Harris born 1903-1906 possibly Islington/North London, parents Frederick Harris and Mary Chapman. Parents didn't marry until 1911, but had 3 children by then and 3 after. All other children registered as Harris.)

Lea, What exactly is it you are trying to find? It wasn't too clear from your posting

If the parents weren't married Frederick will be under the surname Chapman. Unfortunately, I guess there will be as many Fred Chapman's as there are Harris's.
