gloucester place names HELP!!!!!

Please is there anyone can help Just had birth cert Gloucester sub district South Hamlet with address 27 Back Terrrace ,Barton.(it looksl like) St michael U.L.D do this still exist. I cant find it on the map.

Those initials are probably U.S.D., which, I think I recall reading somwhere, stand for: Urban Sanitary District Christine

Oh yes, sorry ignore the USD bit when you google - its just like saying District Council or something, nothing to do with the address itself.
