What does F S stand for in employment

Member Since: February 2004 Posts: 88 Send Message	Thanks - thought it might be - I wonder if she just lodged with them - part of what I love about this hobby is researching occupations and how people lived and their ups and downs as can be seen in the census - one rellie farmed 160 acres and 10 years later she was down to 12 - hard times!! karen

Member Since: February 2004 Posts: 88 Send Message	I need some help please - on the 1841 census I have a 15 year old girl living with my rellies - who I don't think is related to them and her occupation is F S. My rellie was a carpenter and his wife was a dress maker. Thanks Karen
