In our local rag - just got today. 'The King's Regiment is opening its archives and database to the public for a Family History Day. The event takes place from 10am-4pm on saturday at the Merseyside Maritime History Museum. The Regiments database has taken more than 10 yrs to construct and is the largest and most complete resource of its kind. The archive consists of war diaries from both world wars along with other printed histories from the period. A number of specialists will be on hand to decipher material..... Members of the public are asked to make an appointment for this free event...... Those using the service are invited to bring along their photos and other objects relating to the KR for the experts to look at. Phone 0151 - 478 - 4441' Thought someone maybe interested. Thanks for your patience Jenx

Jen, one of my uncles served with the King's Liverpool regiment during the great war - unfortunately dying in 1915. This is of great interest to me and at some point in the future I will visit and see if they have anything for me. Many thanks for that Jen. Snowdrops
