Can anyone tell me where I would apply for a marriage certificate for a wedding that took place in the Grantham registration district please. And do you know if they take enquireis over the phone, by post or not at all! Thankyou. Jeanette x

I'm pretty sure that everything is now centralised at Lincoln Certificate Applications Lincolnshire Registration Services PO Box 760 Lincoln LN2 5WG Tel 0845 3301400 or 01522 782244 Applications by phone or post,credit cards accepted (£1 surchatge for credit card payments) Usually around a week or so to send the cert,and the cert is a copy orf the original register,not a handwritten or typed version. Previously the Grantham office dealt with enquiries and handwrote the certs (often with transcription errors) I have had around a dozen certs from Lincoln with good service. Glen
