thanks ann and glenn i live in retford brian was born in doncaster and brought up in bawtry i will have a look at sarah his grandad [also called william] lived at drakeholes then clayworth then back to everton then at a place called grange farm nr bawtry where brians mum was born regards eileen |

Just to possibly confuse the issue. Death record Anne Ogley E.Retford vol 15 pg 416 Q1 1840 (could explain her missing status in the 41) At least then they didn't have the speed cameras on the main road!!Gainsborough to Bawtry seems forever nowadays. Glen |

Although extracted records some of the baptisms show children born to John and Ann Ogle. I don't know if you know the area but it still is a pretty rural place,and of course quite close to the Chesterfield Canal and the River Trent. Glen |

heather thanks all there is on the certificate that ann is of full age and a servant and residing at everton everton no fathers name what makes it more awkward is everton is a place were 3 counties meet notts lincs and yorks if only they had waited another 3 years to marry and i could have found her on the 1841census eileen |

glen thanks john and ann ogley are william parents and thomas his brother the other william is a relation there are several william ogleys all born about the same time living in different areas it must have been compulsory to call your son and grandson william thanks eileen |

Just found these in the 41 Listed in Everton Notts HO/107/850/14 ED 2 Folio 17 pg 26 William Ogley abt 1816 b,Notts Thomas Ogley abt 1821b,Notts John Ogley abt 1796 Ann Ogley abt 1796 and HO107/850/14 Folio 8 pg 10 Martha Ogley abt 1765 William abt 1766 *************************************************************************** Also add to the first household William Ogley abt 1835 Notts John 1796 is a brickmaker William 1816 is an ag lab Census taken in Everton Township district 2 (Everton and part of Drakeholes) Glen |

could somebody please give me an idea where to look next my husbands greatgrandma was called ANN LEADWORTH she married his greatgrandfather WILLIAM OGLEY BORN 1809 ON MAY 16 1838 no age written for either of them both of full age both servants both living in everton notts no fathers name for ann she must of died before 1847 as william married again to a ELIZABETH DUCKER age 20 her father was a soldier they had several children 6 possibly 8 i will be grateful for any help thanks eileen |
