Member Since: January 2006 Posts: 432 Send Message	If you are serious about research, then Ancestry is not only very good, but also good value for money. I started out using pay-per-view, buying £5 worth of units, but they don't go very far. I decided to try monthy membership at £9.95, which is good value, particularly if you don't want to do a huge amount of research and can finish in a month or two. But having got the bug, I now use ancestry several times most days, and think that an annual membership is a real bargain, working out at less than £6 a month.

	A month or two ago there was a discount if you signed up through Lost Cousins - but I think they have finished the offer.

Member Since: January 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	Is there any do and don'ts when you joining the above. I know its got a free Trial. Which I think I am going to do and cancel after finding out what I want. (And returning all the favours I must owe everybody on this site, free look ups etc.) It looks like its £69 for a year, but I remember seeing if I went via another Web site it was cheaper.
