Hi, I'm looking for some advice. Some of my family originate from Scotland & I was wondering how best to track them? Isabel Waddell - 1897 - Dundee, Angus, Scotland David Nicholson - 1888 - Dundee, Angus, Scotland I know there's the 1841 census but how can I get to there & what happens before then? Thanks Sarah

Sarah you need to subscribe to Scotlands People, it is a pay per view web site but you can view Birth, Marriage & death certificates online and census's from 1841-1901. http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk Georgina.

Hi If you go on to Scotlands people and find their marriage, they go up to 1930. You will get their parents names from it. Thats if it was before 1930. Births go up to 1904, deaths 1955. It also has 1841-1901 census. it is £6 for 30 credits, 1 per search and 5 per image. You get a week to use it up. Marion
