Hi kath, Elizabeth beat me to it!!! Know what you mean all this has cost me a fortune, good job hubby doesn't know!! If you are not certain if it is the right cert ie lots of william moss's born in about the right year area, it is best to get the GRO to do a ref check, and at least that way you get a small refund, if the cert is incorrect. do those seem right re the marriage and births or shall I keep looking? |

Kathlyn, I'm sorry, I'm not sure exactly what is needed for UK certs. but this is what I've found. Tom Whitbread married Sarah Ann Simpson Q4 1890 Stepney Vol 1c Page 792 There are births for Arthur William Moss 1867 Q1 St George Southwark Vol 1d Page 170 And.... William Moss 1866 Q2 St George Hanover Sq Vol 1a Page 262. Hope that helps a bit. |

Hi Fuzz, When I started this torture, I made notes to enable me to order certs, BUT as luck would have it I did not go ahead at that time as I wanted to double, double check what I had. Its a good thing that I did not order as soon as I had what I though was the right info, as time as tought me to check, check, and double check ANY so called info before committing yourself to spending ££££ Kathlyn |

I have tried to get sufficient info to enable me to obtain certificates for my rellies, but am unable to get anything on familysearch or ancestry, any advise as to where/how to get it would be gratefully received... Thomas Whitbread c1868 married Sarah Ann Simpson possibly in the Bow area in 1889/90. William Moss born c1869 in the St. Georges in the East area, father was Charles Moss, mother was Elizabeth. Thanks Kathlyn |
