Yesterday I was looking for a chap with the surname Elinor. It was amazing the weird and wonderful names that came up - things like Green Elinor - then I realised that the enumerator had been putting surname first! Just a reminder that when a surname could also be a first name - e.g. Martin, George etc. for us to check if it has been entered back to front.

Im sure you do Marion!! Its just sometimes I wonder if we get really tied up looking for totally diff names when they are there but just back to front. I wonder if the poor rellies of Green Ellinor ever found the girl?

OC, I take it the OC tongue is firmly wedged in the OC cheek there. Youll be claiming the Dick and Cock marriage next. I dont know, there was I thinking it may help someone - its something so simple that you may not even think about reversing a name. Ill go and sit in the Forrest Gump corner again then.
