ive been out today and brought the Who do you think you are? Family tree maker. It was featured on the BBC and so far I think its brilliant. It even has a relationship calculator (as somepeople may know I get myself confused and some lovely people had to explain blood relatives to me doh lol) You can even put photos on it and if ya register (which is free) it does a kinda internet search for BMD census etc information. ive printed off a tree and it looks fantastic (children will play I know lol) it was worth the wait for it £5.99 I paid lol. I've been using Legacy for several years and have been very satisfied. The best part is it's free - at least the Standard Edition, which does all of the basics. The upgrade to the full version isn't expensive either if/when you decide you need it. If you're interested, go to http://www.legacyfamilytree*com (replace the * with a .) Tim

Or put your tree on Tribal Pages. http://www.tribalpages(.)com/ My relatives find this an easily understandable way of viewing the family tree. Cheers, Horatia

I suggest you download the free PAF (Personal Ancestral File) from www.familysearch.org You can import your GR tree using GEDCOM. You can play around with it, and then when you've got an idea of what features you like/don't like etc you can shop around for something more sophisticated. You can then move the info again, using GEDCOM. nell

I wonder if anyone could advise me. I have put together a fair bit of information using certs, websites, 192 and all that but I have it all written out on pieces on paper. I can't find anyway of presenting so that anyone else in my family can understand it. Is there a programme I can get for my computer that would do this? thanks Sally
