Choose 1871 census, choose county then scroll down to Lincoln and click. You will find a link to the workhouse entries. Ref is RG10/3374 Folio: 141 Page: 1-11 nell

It's one of my Elmers but both names and place of birth are adrift. Thorbon Elmer abt 1851,Dunham,Norfolk (from 1861) In the 71 he is a pauper inmate and disabilty is idiot or imbecile from birth.I just can't find what he is transcribed as but i can remember the name,age and place are all slightly out. Does anyone know the census details for the Union Workhouse in Lincoln please,i have a rellie who is mistranscribed and have lost the image,sad to say i can't remember the piece and folio number.Glen
