Yes, Charles & Maria had a son William born 1859 but he died aged 7 in Shoreditch sept qtr 1866 ref 1c 133........... Charles died in Bristol aged 37 Dec qtr 1870 ref 5a 25 Jen

Jen, just found family living in Bristol on the 1861 census and saw that they had a son william born in 1859 in Bristol. We trace that birth of william and the certificate will give us Marias maiden name. Thanks Fuzzy..........I will re~check William's death ref, not happy with the Shoreditch, although that is where Charles' father came from, they could have been visiting family at the time, but I think I should check further to see if he actually died in Bristol!!! Reference for the 1st marriage you have is not sorrect - BUT I have found one in Sept quarter 1859 - Shoreditch 1c 495 - HENRY Brandon to Maria Connell. Worth a look ? (Charles could have been a middle name ??) Dea x

Jen are you sure they married in Shoreditch,if william was born in Bristol and its the same year it's a bit of a trek, Bristol is about a 100 miles from London Julie

Julie & Dea, Obvioulsy got the wrong reference, need to go back and check, The reason I asociated him with Shoreditch is because most of his family was back there............it was only Charles' Father who met and married a Bristol woman..........so Charles must have married in Bristol............sorry for misleading everyone.
