Scanned Images for Scotland 1841

Is there anywhere that I can see the scanned images from the Scotland 1841 Census? I have found what I think are 'my' family on there but there are a couple of anomalies (which might be bad transcription). Ancestry doesn't seem to let you look at the images, or am I just having yet another Senior Moment?

Hi Ann, no you can`t see the images on Ancestry. It`s something to do with copyright issues. You will have to go to Scotlands People to view. This is a pay per view site. HTH Sylvia.

Thanks for that, Sylvia. I will give Scotlands People a go.

Angela, I believe the problem is that the Scottish authorities will not give ancestry a licence to show the actual images, but the best thing to do is probably to use ancestry to do your searching (although there are lots of mistranscriptions on there) and then go on Scotland's People to look at the actual image. Should work out cheaper than doing the initial searching on Scotland's People, anyway! Kate.
