It looks like they are taking the good points from the old tree system and adding them to the new. I have always used this for adding new spouses children etc to my tree much quicker than the new system. Kat Heather. the edit system is working for me.

It has been there as long as I have been a member - over 3 years. I find it very useful. Liz

ACTUALLY - IT'S QUITE USEFUL !!! - Thank you for mentioning it, Valerie Xx Like Jools, I had a look and thought - I know who my immediate family are so why bother with this BUT - I went back in this morning and discovered that you can click on other people in your tree and it will give you a nice page with all THEIR immediate relatives listed - parents, grandparents, children, siblings etc. I think this would be quite useful to me for certain branches - especially where I have gone off on a side branch (as I do !!), with perhaps a brother + his wife and their children etc. - I am going to print one or two off and use them as reference - they are quite well set out and it saves a long search in my tree for which names are connected to who ! Do have another look in here - YOU might find it useful too. Dea x P.S. - Just discovered another bonus - whatever name you have clicked on - at the bottom of the page is a nice little search facility with that person's name + details already in which gives you a very quick way to search in all people's trees for that relative. Dea x

It's been here for ages as part of the old tree program. The edit function doesn't seem to be working now though. Heather

Scouser look at the options on your left hand side, Ozibird I think you are missing the point it lists them in an order which I happen to like.

I dont know if its useful or not but it was good to get my whole family in one go, as I have my Husbands mixed with mine on here too, and they werent among them. I quite agree GR needs to do wuite a bit to this site, I was only asking because I had not noticed it before, and thought maybe my Eyesight was a lot worse than I had thought !!!!!

Sarah - I can only take credit for Ann Cestry. I think the Aystacks were courtesy of either OC or Nell.

You know what Jools? I agree completely that Genes have more pressing problems than the 'immediate family' thingy BUT - I reckon I get my moneysworth by being able to access these boards (don't know if non-members can read them? or just can't post?) Sarah :-) Loved the Aystacks yesterday!

Not sure. Why is my being able to access my immediate family a useful tool!!?? If GR concentrated on getting the site up to speed, organising the hot matches properly & a host of other things BEORE they dream up new wizard wheezes it would be nicwe. Hey ho - why should we bother - we only pay them a sub!!!
