1st cousin-share grandparents 2nd cousins -share great grandparents etc 4th once removed means the generation above-eg someone in your mother`s generation to someone in your generation. Have I explained it clearly? Ros

Kerry if you google ''fourth cousin once removed'' there are charts that explain what it means. Georgina.

1st cousins share a set of grandparents 4th cousins share a set of gtgtgt grandparents. Once removed means one of you is the next generation down from the other one. Janice
