Hi, i was wondering how useful the newspaper section is on ancestry? I serached for a relative (Isabel Jeune) who had a rare name & it comes up with quite few results. Before paying i was wondering if they are of any use?

In my experience, no. It just finds words that are similar.

I've only found two results for Isabel on Ancestry, in marriage index and 1871 census. nell

Hi Nell, thanks won't waste my time on that one! I've got Isabel from when she moved to England & married becoming an Allen (my family) but no sign of her death, she would have been Isabel Frances Allen (unless remarried??). I really want to find her past as she's from Guernsey & there's quite a few Jeunes which I can only think are related as guernseys not that big is it?

Sarah Going on the St Peter Port info on your 1871 census thread, I found this on Hugh Wallis batch numbers for St Pierre Port: BERTHA AMELIA JEUNE Birth: 20 JUL 1871 St. Pierre Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands Father: JOHN JEUNE Mother: AMELIA LE PAGE Couldn't find anyone else, but here are the batch numbers if you want to look yourself. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb*com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyGuernsey.htm#S
