could anyone help me find samuel edward wilkinson before he got married please. I've looked all day after receiving his marriage cert to mary jane paris(1876) trying to find him on census data 1871 and 1861 and a birth cert for him but keep drawing blanks. he was 21and a gas stoker when he got married in jan 1876 in bradford, his dad george wilkinson (deceased) was a stone masons labourer. later census records show he was born in hightown yorkshire or heckmondwick yorkshire but he seems to have been invisible before he married in 1876. Please can someone help me with this if possible? this family have given me headaches before!! ta Karen |

thanks for the help Gwen. I will go and have a look. As for why do we do this to ourselves? Who knows, Its just a huge complex puzzle where there are an infinite number of pieces, but each piece added gives that extra bit of satisfaction. God where did that all come from, i sound like I'm writing a sermon!! Cheers K |
