Thanks Christine Just can't understand why they have put a date that makes the registration 12 weeks after birth. That would mean they still have to pay fine. Simone x

Hi I have a baptism cert for Elizabeth Lennon b 26/11/1907, baptised 7/12/1907- parents Peter and Mary Lennon (nee Roberts)- There is no birth reg in Liverpool for this birth in either Dec q 1907 or Mar q 1908- I have a birth cert for Elizabeth Lennon 17/2/1908, to Peter Lennon and Mary (nee Roberts)- Registered in Jun 1908 - Interestingly this birth has been registered on 11/5/1908, 12 weeks after birth date- ( I thought it had to be within 6 weeks?!) I have been to Records Office today to look at baptism to see if anything written by Priest in margin. The baptism for birth of Nov 1907 looks fine, no notes or anything. Can't find a baptism for 1908 birth. I though maybe the first child had died, but this would be impossibe to have had a child in Nov and then another in Feb woudn't it? What do you think? Has the family realised that they have not registered and tried to do it late? Why give a different date of birth and one that is 12 weeks before the registration. Any ideas greatly appreciated Simone
