Hi I have just been on the 1837online website usind the death duty register index. I have found my ancestor in the index in 1893. It shows his name, residence and date of death. The name of the executor/administator and in one box there are some numbers and the next box shows a W. I have never used this before and have never seached wills etc before can any one help me, does the fact he is on list index mean their is a will and if so can I get a copy, how and what information do i need. Do i need to see the death duty register rather then index if so where would the register be?? Any help would be great as i really have got no idea. Thanks a lot Karen
