It may help if you went to a Navy forum website and asked if anyone served there at the same time?

Hi Anthony Just to clarify - I take it that when you say he was an MP you mean Military Police, and not Member of Parliament? Tina

Can anyone advise me on how to go about tracing someone that I only have a first name for. I know the person was based at Rosyth Dockyard and I know that it was in May/June 1961. I know that he was an MP (Military Police) and I know the persons name was Anthony or Tony for short. I was told that he was posted to New Zealand shortly after this. I have contacted the Royal Navy but without a last name I'm stuck. I also tried the National Archives but once again I need the surname. I thought I might be able to trace through this website but once again I need the surname.
